The New Zealand Post - all decked out for ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ World Premiere.
I was one of the first fans to visit Weta Workshop’s “Window into Weta” on the very day it opened. IT. WAS. AWESOME!!! Unfortunately, you’re not allowed to take photos inside. Take my word for it - it’s totally worth going.
Just what is Gollum up to over there? I don’t think I want to know….

Well, I’m not sure about that particular brand, but holy freakin’ crap, do I love New Zealand Coffee.
Nenya, Ring of Water. My big Weta Workshop purchase. Haven’t taken it off since.
Me and my BFF, Gandalf.

Things you get to see when visiting the Weta Cave…

One of the first things my tour group did in Wellington, was stop off at The Weta Cave. Be prepared for a lot of face shots. I had to prove to myself that me actually being there wasn’t a dream….

And so begins my photos of Wellington - aka THE HOBBIT PREMIERE!!!
Not the prettiest of shots, but considering I was driving by the sign at the time, it’s not that bad.
You might recall the big ta-do last year, when it was thought the vote for the sign’s name would go to “Wellywood”. Apparently it was not to be…
The hard part about this shot is that the sign sits on a hill just above a roundabout, so if you want a photo up close, be prepared to snap it as fast as you can on your way around. ;)
